Reinald oversees the BBB’s Banking business, which develops and deploys wholesale and lending products. Most interventions, such as ENABLE Guarantees and ENABLE Funding, work with other lenders and make use of wholesale solutions to help them increase their small business lending activities. Other interventions have a more direct focus on specific underlying borrower groups, such as the Growth Guarantee Scheme, Start Up Loans and Community ENABLE Funding. Ultimately, they are all designed to increase the availability of debt products for smaller business borrowers to help them grow and thrive.

Prior to joining the British Business Bank, Reinald was Head of SME, Corporate and Leveraged Loan Securitisation at Lloyds Bank securitising a wide variety of asset classes including SME Loans and Leveraged Finance. Before joining Lloyds, Reinald worked for MeesPierson (later ABN Amro Bank) and Rabobank in a range of securitisation, loan syndication and interest rate derivatives trading roles.

Reinald holds a Masters degree in Econometrics from the University of Amsterdam.
