I am currently the Chief Executive of the Consumer Redress Association (CRA), which is the trade body for regulated Claims Management Companies (CMCs) and legal firms who are involved in financial services claims.
The CRA was formed from the evolution of the Alliance of Claims Companies (ACC) which was the largest independent trade body operating in the financial claims sector, almost exclusively in the PPI claims landscape, from 2015 to 2021. During that entire period, I was the Chief Executive of the ACC.
I formed the ACC with six founding CMC firms as members in 2015 and by the time of the PPI deadline in 2019 our membership had risen to 75 CMCs which were responsible for over 60% of the volume of PPI claims in the system from CMCs in the final years of the PPI claims process.
Prior to establishing the ACC I was Head of Communications for We Fight Any Claim Ltd (WFAC), who were one of the leading, and largest, CMCs in the UK – a role I had held since 2012. WFAC were indeed one of the founding members of the ACC (alongside Allay Claims, The Fair Trade Practice, The Claims Guys, Brunel Franklin, and CAG).
I have also previously held roles at the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), the ICAEW and have worked as a political assistant in both the Welsh Parliament at Deputy Minister level and the House of Commons at Shadow Cabinet level.
