With more than 15 years in asset finance, Andrew Trimmer has built his career around challenging how things are done and finding practical ways for technology to make them better.

As Director of Technology at Simply Asset Finance, he has spent the past eight years helping to build and evolve Simply’s technology platform, concentrating not simply on the technology itself, but on how people interact with it.

Andrew is particularly interested in the practical application of AI, automation and data within financial services, and how organisations can embrace new technology without losing the human relationships that underpin their business.

He remains firmly of the view that “we’ve always done it that way” is a reason to ask questions, not a reason to stop asking them.
