Matthew manages the day-to-day business flows with both retail customers and with a range of wholesale funding partners. Having grown up on his family’s mixed arable and beef farm before attending university, Matthew has been helping farmers fund both the commercial property and equipment they need for nearly 30 years.

His FCA regulated origination and portfolio servicing company: Rural Asset Management Services has built generational relationships with over 3500 borrowers and currently manages from cradle to grave, 4 separate portfolios on behalf of various institutional lenders desiring “Tier 1.5” credit exposure to UK agricultural assets. One of the four portfolios carries a British Business Bank ENABLE Guarantee.

Matthew sees his role as leading a team to provide rural business customers’ a very wide range of funding options specific to the needs of modern UK agriculture, while protecting our wholesale funders’ capital and maintaining consistent long-term interest returns for them.
